SB0460 Not Working on Dell T5400 With Windows 7 64 I have a Dell Precision T5400 workstation that was recently upgraded to Windows 7 64. Since the upgrade, I'm unable to use my audio card. Money hack for conquer bot.
I have been plagued with no audio and choppy browser video for the last week. The PC was performing fine about 3 weeks ago and now has this problem. Microsoft worked on my OS all day yesterday with a refresh of Windows 7 x64.
The problem started with no audio from the original DELL installed sound card. I downloaded and installed the last available driver and that did not solve the problem.
I purchased an OEM SB Audigy card from NewEGG installed it and the drivers from the included CD. Updated the drivers with the Creative Update tool. Still nothing. After Microsoft's re-install, I ran DELL's comprehensive hardware diagnostic tool-set.
All hardware shows everything is OK. One other item is that Windows Media Player has no media device to output to?
Everything in the Device Manager looks OK, but it looks like the sound-card driver isn't being recognized? I am at a loss of what to do?
