Execute Bit Disabled ---> Enabled Hmmmm this is NX technology. I started Sandra Pro 2005 and it still says 64bit support ---> NO. As I mentioned this is D0 stepping CPU, and I know there is E0 stepping Presscot CPU s478. The thing is I'm talking about socket 478!!!!!! And as you see NX technology and 64bit feature are there. It's not something locked in the cpu itself but it's locked via BIOS. I'm not really sure is Sandra 2005 reads wrong, but I'm sure that Prescott s478 stepping E0 is 64bit CPU and it can be unlocked via Bios Update on this particular ECS motherboard I'm using.

I hope somebody gets Prescott s478 socket E0!!! Stepping and test it on this board after applying the latest BIOS. NX technology is enabled in D0 Stepping with this BIOS update and it's working here:) This is a big story, and one question remains.
Why the hell Intell locked 64bit feature with their s478 and s775 socket Prescott CPUs Please comment out. I really don't know. Maybe Intel wants from us to pay extra $$$ for 64 bit feature. I think ECS is the first company who release BIOS to support 64bit on board with 478 socket!:woot: I checked my BIOS and there is this new option as part of CPU features called EXECUTE BIT DISABLED and it's set to ENABLED This is NX tech I think and it has something to do with DEP feature in the Windows XP SP2. AMD64 users encounter the BSOD issue in UT2004 because of DEP, but P4 users not since it P4 doesn't officially supports it. Now, mine does:D I will try to install Windows XP 64bit Professional Beta tonight as a second OS.
Even though Sandra 2005 doesn't read that CPU supports 64bit. Maybe can't read correctly, maybe it's there working in D0 stepping as well.
