The DS resource pack is mainly aimed for advanced users of RPG Maker, which means it involves opening up graphic editor programs and merge desired tiles together as well. Additionally, the set labels are solely meant for organization purpose and in no way determine where each set should belong to. You are expected to open graphic editor programs and merge the sets as you see fit. Even if we do merge everything together, there isn't going to be enough space based on RM's specifications (we tried) and you would have tons of repetitive tiles (Look closely on the VXAce RTP and you WILL see it). Well, I started overworking the tiles a little bit. Most of the plants work fairly well if a little gauss filter is applied and the colours being adjusted.

Well, to be honest. I think part of the trees was just overworked and put into ace. Don't judge me if I am wrong, but they look awfully alike (besides being less blurry). Smoothing and adjusting colours for the rest of the tiles will make them fit pretty well with the standard RTP I think. Of course it's a little work, but especially the rooftiles are a nice addition, and the arabian tiles are a great addition to the standard ressources.

And regarding the DS resources it is well possible to make them look more compareable to the standard ressources. And adding a very small smooth effect (~ 0.5 pixel) and adjusting colours does the trick (I did it, anyways with all the plants from the DS pack).
If you compare both packs you can clearly see that the DS pack is more sharp because of less used colours, than the Ace RTP, and looking more 'pixelish' but it is not a total different art style (I am just talking about the tilesets, though, not battlers or anything). It's just a bit more classy in it's use of colours with less smooth steps between neighboring colours.
Any which way, wethinks that the evil laugh that RK lets out every now and then seems more a symptom of a digestive disorder of sorts than his negative character showing! Not sure if I am allowed to link it (since it's ressources from official packs, but modified), but look at my attempt mixing all the plants from Ace RTP, Samurai pack and DS pack: *removed* I don't think they don't match the art style, but that certainly is up to a personal point of view. Seems like its tolerated, as long as you simply dont copy the graphics without any changes. You are wrong. The RTP of XP/VX/Ace are all allowed to be reposted with edits, because you can freely download these RTPs off the main website.
You have to pay for any of the other resource packs, so therefor these aren't allowed to be reposted, even if they're simply edits. Kk, good to know, removed it. Does anyone know, if someone owns all of the packs him-/herself, could he/she use the edited tiles from someone else (who also owns the packs)?
